Official Announcement on the Change of Publication Frequency

Journal of Linguistics and Iranian Languages, Shiraz University

The request to change the publication frequency of the Journal of Linguistics and Iranian Dialects of Shiraz University to a quarterly journal, pursuant to Letter No. 3/18/52879 dated 3 June 2025, has been approved by the Journals Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. Accordingly, the journal will henceforth be published on a quarterly basis.

The Journal of Linguistics and Iranian Dialects of Shiraz University published its inaugural issue in the spring–summer of 2016 under the authorization of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. Following the publication of its second issue, the journal entered the process of evaluation for Scientific–Research accreditation and, in accordance with Letter No. 311570/18/3 dated 26 February 2019 issued by the Director General of the Office of Policy-Making and Research Planning of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, was granted Scientific–Research status.

The journal is published on an open-access basis, and all submitted manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process. According to the most recent evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the journal was awarded a “B” ranking in 2023.

The journal considers for review and publication original Scientific–Research articles, prepared in full compliance with the journal’s guidelines, in the principal and interdisciplinary domains of linguistics, as well as in syntactic, phonological, morphological, and semantic studies of all Iranian dialects.

Authors are required to review carefully all information provided in the journal’s submission system, particularly the Author Guidelines, prior to manuscript submission. Any failure to comply with the stated instructions shall remain the sole responsibility of the author(s).

 Policy on Plagiarism

All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism detection using the Hamanandjoo similarity-checking software. A similarity rate of less than 10 percent is deemed acceptable. Authors intending to submit manuscripts to this journal must upload their manuscript to the Hamanandjoo system (Identification Code: 6X6PUQ) and subsequently upload the official similarity report issued by the IranDoc system (tik.irandoc.ac.ir) to the journal’s submission platform.

In cases where plagiarism is substantiated, the journal reserves the right to place the author(s) on its blacklist. Should the plagiarized article have already been published, it shall be withdrawn from public access and archived, and the statement “This article is plagiarized” shall be indicated beneath the name(s) of the author(s).
